Should the University Campus Be Open to Tourists?

When it comes to whether the university campus should be open to tourists ,there is no complete agreement among people.Some people take it for granted that university campus should embrace tourists across the country.However, others maintain that the university campus should be closed to tourists. In my opinion, university campus should be open to tourists.

Those people who hold the first opinion believe that refusing tourists is against universities' spirit of openness.In addition,they insist that no university has the right to reject taxpayers to enter its grounds because it is public land.However ,still others think differently. In their opinions,too many tourists will add a burden to the security department of the university. Besides,they argue that these tourists will destroy the quiet environment and influence students' normal study.

Weighing up these two arguments,I prefer the former opinion.For one thing, it is a good thing for the students to visit the famous university campus in that it can enable the middle students to get more information about the university and they can have enough time and opportunity to prepare themselves with the chance to get into the university. For another, a university should be an open place and impart the spirit of openness to its students.Considering these,I may reasonably conclude that the university campus should welcome all tourists.

大學(xué)資源走出去的開放模式既要“仰望星空”，又要“腳踏實地”。“仰望星空”即志存高遠，理解自身對于社會建設(shè)與發(fā)展的重要作用，將服務(wù)社會視為己任?！澳_踏實地”指對于社會的服務(wù)要落在實處，讓周邊社區(qū)直接受惠。此次話題中心的南京大學(xué)和北京大學(xué)、清華大學(xué)等全國性名校，影響力覆蓋面極廣，但全國絕大多數(shù)大學(xué)的影響力主要是覆蓋所在城市或所在社區(qū)，所以在校師生走出校園后，首先要做的還是社區(qū)服務(wù)，而且是不斷開拓創(chuàng)新的、結(jié)合專業(yè)所長的、制度化的社區(qū)服務(wù)。

所以，大學(xué)的開放應(yīng)該有多樣的維度和程度，不能簡單化地把目光放在校門的開放上。同時，校外人員理應(yīng)充分理解校內(nèi)管理人員的出發(fā)點。畢竟，保障大學(xué)師生在校的權(quán)利，營造一個良好的內(nèi)部環(huán)境，是大學(xué)與社會、社區(qū)形成良性互動的起點。
